From 31st May 2023, United Airlines will be flying directly from Malaga (Costa del Sol) airport to Newark (Liberty International – New Jersey), one of three major airports serving the New York metropolitan area. Initially, United’s summer 2023 timetable is scheduling 3 flights a week aboard a Boeing 757-200.

The importance of this international commitment cannot be overstated. Of course, it will open up mutual tourism opportunities for visitors to and from the US. It will also allow easier access to Malaga for those in the New York corporate finance and venture capital communities. This can only mean good things for those businesses growing under the wing of Malaga’s Tech community. Costa del Sol – The DigiTech Revolutions Competing with their contemporaries from London, Frankfurt and Barcelona – with their comparatively easy journeys – this will allow easier engagement with potential investment targets. There has never been a better time to establish a new business in Malaga, particularly in the many sectors of the digital and tech economies.
