The Olive Press – Marbella’s “West End” San Pedro de Alcantara

Gecko Towers

It is highly unusual that I share on MarbellaPropertyLawyers a piece from another publication. However, we as all evolve, I wanted to support an exceptionally well researched and written piece by Jon Clarke, the Publisher and Editor of the well-known and respected “The Olive Press”.

San Pedro’s wavy walkway – a new icon

Jon’s perspective, that I completely agreement with, is that for those seeking a viable, arguably even better, alternative to Marbella, with all that beautiful town has to offer, it’s westerly neighbour, San Pedro de Alcantara is just perfect. Named by its founder in 1860’s, the Marquis del Duero, after his mother Petra de Alcantara and a saint, San Pedro de Alcantara.

There are a myriad of older properties seeking renovation and the atmosphere is both airy and sophisticated without being complacent or smug. It combines a wide beach with a compact and historic town and all manner of enjoyable diversions. It is, simply, a wonderful place to live and invest in.

The long-gone SPA Arch

Here is Jon’s piece and I hope you’ll agree with us. The Olive Press “San Pedro de Alcantara”
