What Zoe identifies is that the bling bejeweled bikini worn by the finely manicured hand that envelopes the neck of a bottle of fizz at Ocean Club, is but one, even seasonal, face of Marbella. It’s the skimpy and, perhaps, a little shallow side of what is fast being seen as substantially more than a tourist paradise.
Marbella, may be partially spawned by the evolving success of Malaga and the immensely valuable tech housed there, is becoming a hub of tech excellence. We see the convergence of family lifestyle with a highly experienced-qualified community of serial entrepreneurs, corporate finance/venture capital bosses and tech gurus that begat something that is starting to feel like the early days of Palo Alto – as in California and not the sparkling development high above Marbella on the Ogen road!
