MarbellaPropertyLawyers: Murcia, no water but no shortage. Why?

Gecko Towers

Murcia is a province I am not particularly familiar with, but I know it to be the garden of Spain with acres of plastic tenting under which are growing amazing tomatoes, vedge and other soft fruits. What is astonishing about the Murcia region is that it’s in a constant state of drought.

Much like Marbella, the provincial official and central government have grasped the nettle. Murcia is Spain’s home to water recycling and desalination.

To give us all an idea of what the Marbella region will be like, when all of the current desalination plans come to fruition, please see this excellent article from Murcia Today. It assures me that the Marbella region is on the cusp of also getting it right and providing a future-proof strategy to the vagaries of the Mediterranean climate.

After all the worry of the first few months of this year, this must come as a huge comfort to those planning to make a Marbella home key to their future plans.
